jTheme
Introduction
The jTheme library is used for visualizing patches (jPatch).
Future
Themes have to be developed in the Java language. We should examine whether it is possible to define the appearance of widgets using SVG.
Problems:
- requires much resources
- rendering is slow
- interaction
- ...
Advantages:
- easier development of custom themes/widgets
- patch can be viewed in arbitrary sizes
- Using a xml patch format, an SVG image could be embedded in a patch file allowing the user to view the patch in any SVG viewer (or browser if the necessary plugin is available).
